We've finally got it! The van we've been waiting for! We are truly happy.
It's a Volkswagen T4 desiel van which already came with a cooker and a sink with running water, a bed which turns into comfortable seat-sofa.
We've thought that we might need to invest a lot and turn it upside down in order being able to actually live in it but so far it seems that the van is quite ready for the journeys. In Germany there are certain times in a year when people throw away all the unwanted, used, broken stuff, anything you could imagine. Just a few days ago we were driving home after an excursion to the Nazi Amphitheatre and other weird objects and guess what: in different places where was a huge amount of stuff just lying around. Sofas, cabinets, shelves, timber, pots and pans, cups and even some string, phones, carpets, pillows, etc. We've grabbed one of the cabinets and our current mission is to turn it into a bookcase. Also, Charlie is on the project of bringing some privacy to the van called 'curtains'. We've been donated some fabric and can't wait to challenge a sewing machine. So far, so good.
